Job Description
As a Safety Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and enforcing workplace safety standards across job sites to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and working closely with management and field personnel to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. You must follow all safety regulations and proactively address risks to prevent accidents and injuries.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct regular job site safety inspections and audits.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses and prepare reports.
- Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports.
- Collaborate with supervisors and workers to promote a culture of safety.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction safety or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety regulations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to identify hazards and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
